Lauren Johnson loves to work with English learners who need to level up their skills for work or travel.

She understands the importance of English in career development and the value of soft skills on the job. She also understands what it’s like to learn a new language and your challenges of working in a multi-cultural environment.

You can find Lauren teaching online Business English classes with Busuu for Business and also with Le Cercle des Langues language school in France. She also contracts with the U.S. Department of State in its Virtual Educator program.

Le Cercle des Langues accepts your CPF funds if you are a French learner. Busuu for Business may be available through your place of work.

If you are not connected to either Busuu or Le Cercle des Langues, you can find Lauren on Verbling and take individual lessons with her using the Verbling platform.

Lauren is a native English speaker who also speaks French and is learning Spanish, as well. Lauren lives on the west coast of the USA with her family and has lived and studied in France and in francophone Cameroon. She has traveled widely in Europe, Mexico, Central America, and Africa.

Lauren holds a Cambridge CELTA certification, a certification from International House (IH) in Business English and also holds a Master of Education from Antioch New England Graduate School. Her undergraduate studies in Anthropology were at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, USA.

Prior to teaching English, Lauren proudly served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching freshwater fish culture and worked for 30 years in communications, fundraising, project management and business development in California and Oregon, including with the NGO Habitat for Humanity and other social enterprises.
